Stevenson is seeking a tech-savvy intern to work within a big team on all aspects of the gallery’s daily operations, with a focus on digital. Ideal candidates are exceptionally motivated, organised and detail-oriented, who learn quickly, have a strong sense of urgency and adapt easily to change.
The internship involves a wide range of duties – many of which take place in the digital realm. Responsibilities may include preparing for online events, playing a key role within the social media team, production of exhibitions, art fairs and related documents and administrative support to gallery staff. Depending on the candidate’s interests and abilities, other duties may include working on special projects, playing a supportive role in website management, assisting with publications and research. Candidates proficient in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are preferred.
This position is a developmental opportunity that provides excellent exposure to the inner workings of the gallery business and is ideally suited for those interested in pursuing a career in the arts.
A stipend/salary is paid at an hourly rate and the term is 3 months, with the possibility of extension, commencing as soon as possible. Working hours are full time with flexibility.
