This position allows candidates to pursue a PhD in 20th- and 21st-century art and culture while gaining hands-on curatorial experience at the Mercedes‑Benz Art Collection, one of Europe’s leading corporate collections. Participants will support exhibition projects, collection care, curatorial writing, website and internal communications, and public and internal engagement programs.
Fellowship Format

Full-time PhD contract (3 years), starting 1 May 2026.

Requires a confirmed PhD project and academic supervision at a German university.

Combines scholarly research with practical curatorial work.
Eligibility Criteria

Knowledge of international contemporary art and relevant discourses.

Experience in independent project management, particularly exhibition planning and implementation.

Proficiency in MS Office and English; additional languages are a plus.

Self-directed, team-oriented, creative, reliable, and analytically minded.
