The Warburg Institute in London is offering a series of funded postdoctoral fellowships for researchers in art history, cultural history, and related fields. These opportunities provide access to the Institute’s world-renowned Library, Photographic Collection, and Archive, supporting both long-term and short-term research projects, as well as a new curatorial fellowship engaging specifically with the Institute’s collections and artistic programme.
Frances A Yates Curatorial Fellowship
This fellowship supports postdoctoral researchers engaging specifically with the Warburg Institute’s collections—Library, Photographic Collection, or Archive—and projects related to its Artistic Programme. Fellows may work on Aby Warburg’s Zettelkästen, Refugee History, interpretation of imagery in the Photographic Collection, or libraries of 20th-century art historians.

Stipend: £38,109 for 12 months (pro-rata for nine months)

Responsibilities: Contribute to seminars, the Institute’s blog (Mnemosyne), and potentially develop online short courses.

Long-Term Research Fellowships
Postdoctoral fellowships for research on any aspect of cultural, intellectual, or art history using the Warburg collections. Fellows contribute to seminars, the blog, and may propose online short courses. Projects cannot be revisions of doctoral dissertations.
