The Henry Moore Institute is offering an exciting opportunity for a recent PhD graduate or Early Career Researcher to undertake a two-year postdoctoral research project in the field of sculpture history. This is a part-time position (28 hours per week), providing the successful candidate with the chance to develop their own research portfolio and contribute to the Institute’s public programming.
The candidate will work within the Institute’s Research Team, exploring under-represented areas of sculpture history while engaging with the resources of the Institute’s Sculpture Research Library, Archives, and the Leeds Sculpture Collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a specific research project within the candidate’s area of expertise, contributing to the Institute’s public program.
- Develop and deliver research outputs such as journal articles, book proposals, or conferences.
- Assist with the Institute’s research program, including exhibitions, lectures, and seminars.
- Collaborate with the Research Team while working independently on your project.
Requirements:
- Completed or due to submit a PhD in Art History or a related subject.
- In-depth knowledge of sculpture history.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Research interests complementing the Institute’s focus on sculpture.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
