The Producers’ Academy in Brussels is a four-day international seminar during the Kunstenfestivaldesarts. It serves as a learning lab for global producers, fostering reflection, co-learning, and exploration of contemporary production challenges.
About the Academy
The Academy provides a platform for deep discussion and experimental approaches to the art of producing. Topics include (self)care, fair practices, transnational approaches, budgeting, and innovation in the performing arts. Participants will engage in diverse activities, from discussions to interactive sessions, led by experts and fellow attendees.

Applications and Eligibility
Deadline: 25 February 2024, midnight CET
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to all nationalities.
- Minimum five years of experience in the performing arts production.
- Experience in innovative international support and trans-sectorial approaches.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
Note: The term ‘performing arts’ excludes opera and music-only projects.

Participation Conditions
- Free participation (includes full program, daily lunches, and two performances).
- Travel and accommodation costs are not covered. However, official invitation letters are available upon request for funding support.
- Limited travel support may be available in exceptional cases.
Bursaries
Three travel grants are available for producers from countries with limited financial support for international mobility. Refer to On The Move for more international mobility funding guides.

To apply, submit a CV (1 page max.) and a cover letter (3000 characters max.) in a single PDF titled “SURNAME Name”. For bursary applications, include a separate motivation letter (1500 characters max.) titled “SURNAME Name_funding”.
