Job Description
As the Production Oversight Manager, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of the production department at the Palais de Tokyo, managing both the organizational and human aspects of the team.
You will work closely with the Director of Production, other departments (Communication, Administration, Audiences, etc.), and the curatorial team to ensure the smooth execution of exhibitions and related projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management
- Supervise a team of four permanent Production Managers, temporary staff, and interns.
- Plan priorities and allocate tasks within the team.
- Propose organizational improvements and define operational objectives for the service.
2. Project Coordination
- Oversee the general organization of projects, including financial, human, and scheduling resources.
- Conduct feasibility assessments for projects and monitor their progress.
- Ensure compliance with legal and budgetary requirements.
- Collaborate with the logistics, exhibition, and audiovisual departments to anticipate installation and dismantling phases.
3. Budget Management
- Develop and monitor initial and revised budgets.
- Supervise financial commitments, purchase orders, and payment processing.
- Analyze costs and propose budget optimization strategies.
4. Cross-Functional Contributions
- Lead efforts to integrate sustainability and accessibility into exhibition practices.
- Participate in data collection for carbon footprint assessments and corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting.
- Monitor artist compensation practices to ensure compliance with internal guidelines.
Candidate Profile

- Proven experience in a similar role involving project and team management.
- Strong expertise in budget management and public finance procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contracts and agreements.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
