The Bauhaus University Weimar is an internationally established university that looks back on 160 years of history and understands the tradition of the Bauhaus. It combines science, technology, art and design. This attitude essentially determines the self-image of the faculties of architecture and urbanism, civil engineering, art and design as well as media. In addition to their subject-specific tasks, the faculties are particularly committed to interdisciplinary cooperation and the penetration of practice, art and science.
For the professorship we are looking for an excellent personality with international visibility, the art-theoretical basics, imparted methodological knowledge as well as art historical knowledge and contextualized contemporary artistic questions and problems as well as current artistic strategies in teaching and research.
The professorship develops relevant theoretical positions and opens up starting points for curatorial and institutional art practice. It advertises third-party funds as part of disciplinary and disciplinary research and development projects and is internationally networked. In addition, the professorship promotes and supervises qualification work in the field of artistic and scientific processes and at the same time stands for the strengthening of interdisciplinary collaborations and initiatives in teaching and research.
