About the Role
The Program Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of AFAC’s special programs, ensuring successful delivery while aligning with the organization’s mission and values. This role involves close collaboration with international donors, external partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning and Development:
- Design program plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to refine program frameworks.
- Identify growth opportunities and recommend innovative approaches.
Implementation and Oversight:
- Lead the execution of programs, ensuring objectives, budgets, and timelines are met.
- Address challenges in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and donor requirements.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Track program progress and prepare reports for management and donors.
- Document lessons learned and suggest improvements for future programs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders.
- Represent AFAC in meetings, workshops, and conferences (travel required).
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among program actors.
Candidate Profile
Education and Skills:
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, social sciences, project management).
- Fluency in Arabic, English, and French.
- Familiarity with the cultural sector in the Arab region and donor requirements.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in program management, preferably in the cultural sector.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, meet deadlines, and oversee project planning and execution.
- Experience working with international institutions, such as EuropeAid, is preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
