Matadero Madrid is Seeking a Program Manager
Organization: Madrid Destino
Location: Matadero Madrid, Madrid / Spain
Contract Type: Temporary (Substitution)
Salary: €55,664.38 gross per year
Working Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week), Monday to Friday, with flexible entry times between 08:00 and 17:00. One weekend per month may be required with compensatory time off.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the annual program, including artistic, research, and activity strategies.
- Lead and coordinate collaborative, experimental, and participatory cultural projects.
- Establish co-production strategies, partnerships, grants, and subsidies at national and international levels.
- Research and curate interdisciplinary projects, cultural publications, and exhibitions.
- Oversee program execution, budgeting, funding, and contract management.
- Collaborate with cultural institutions, festivals, and international networks.
- Represent the center in public engagements and cultural policy discussions.
Requirements:
- Education: University degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent) with at least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Preferred Fields: Social sciences, law, arts, humanities, cultural management, or digital communication.
- Experience: Multidisciplinary programming, large-scale cultural events, public administration cultural projects, and international cultural management.
- Skills: Budget management, leadership, negotiation, strategic planning, public relations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Languages: High proficiency in English (other languages are a plus).
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with web and image management software is a plus.
