About Future Ritual
Future Ritual empowers the development of new cultural expressions through collaboration with artists, focusing on contemporary ritual practices. The organization activates spaces, curates programs, publishes research, and works creatively with diverse practitioners. Since its inception in 2017, it has dynamically evolved, taking on various forms to fulfill its mission.
Role Overview
The Programme Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s mission, ensuring sustainable growth and making a significant impact on the Live Art scene. Working closely with the Director and team, this position involves organizing events, managing collaborations, and supporting the digital footprint of Future Ritual.
Key Responsibilities
Producing & Project Management
- Collaborate with artists and partners, ensuring their needs are met.
- Facilitate artist support, including logistics and production needs.
- Lead and manage specific projects, focusing on wellbeing and engagement.
- Oversee temporary staff and volunteers as needed.
Administration, Fundraising & Strategy
- Contribute creatively to the program’s vision and execution.
- Maintain organized records and timelines for efficient project management.
- Assist in fundraising efforts and evaluation processes.
- Engage with the digital community through updates and communications.
Finance
- Manage financial records and budgets, aiming for cost-effectiveness.
Additional Duties
- Take on other responsibilities as required, contributing to the organization’s needs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to project management. Experience in Live Art or performance art is preferred, along with a commitment to artist and participant wellbeing. Independence, good judgment, and the ability to work flexibly are essential.
Terms
- Salary: £12,000 (0.4 FTE equivalent to £30,000 Full-Time)
- Hours: 2 days per week
- Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months with a probationary period and potential extension
- Location: Flexible, with a preference for Mondays and Fridays in Deptford, London
- Benefits: Pro-rata annual leave, optional pension scheme, flexible start date
