Role Objectives
The Programme Manager will oversee Turf’s exhibition programmes and related events.
Compensation and Terms
- Type: Part-time, fixed-term freelance (1st May 2024 – 31st March 2025)
- Salary: £1968 per month (£164 per day)
- Hours: 12 days per month, mainly Wednesday to Saturday
Location
Turf Projects, Whitgift Centre, Croydon CR0 1UQ
Remote work possible for up to 1 day in 8.
Start Date
Flexible, aiming for 1st May 2024.

Candidate Requirements
- Strong connection to Croydon
- Experience in managing arts and culture events
- Skilled in budget management and exhibition production
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Interest in arts, culture, and current socio-political discussions
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Turf’s exhibition programme and external projects
- Manage logistics, including budgeting, contracts, and event execution
- Collaborate with team members and community partners
- Ensure projects are accessible and well-documented
Working at Turf
- Alignment with Turf and Charity Commission policies
- Participation in a flat pay structure and mutual accountability processes
- Engagement with digital tools for planning and communication
- Contribution to front of house duties and space maintenance
