Mimosa House is seeking a Programme Producer to lead the production of its exhibitions and events at its gallery in Holborn, London. Working within a small team and reporting to the Deputy Director, the postholder will oversee projects from early planning through delivery and evaluation, while contributing to the gallery’s communications, fundraising and day-to-day operations.
Founded in 2017, Mimosa House centres the work and experiences of women and queer people, with a particular focus on people of colour. It presents three exhibitions each year alongside a wider programme of events. The new Programme Producer will join as the organisation prepares to mark its tenth anniversary in 2027.
Exhibition and programme production
The Programme Producer will coordinate exhibition logistics, including the development of new work, loans, layouts, art shipments, suppliers, technicians and the handling of physical and digital artworks. They will work closely with artists, guest curators, lenders and partner institutions, and organise visits, travel and accommodation where needed.
The role also involves managing the gallery’s invigilators, producing public and Patrons events, overseeing project budgets and gathering information to evaluate the programme. The postholder will help maintain the gallery building and coordinate contractors.
Communications, fundraising and operations
Working with the wider team, the Programme Producer will update the website, support social media and Mailchimp communications, and help prepare exhibition descriptions, wall texts and labels. They will contribute to funding applications and reporting, support the production of artist editions, and manage enquiries and arrangements for venue hire.
They will also monitor expenditure, process invoices and work with the bookkeeper to maintain financial records. Other responsibilities include welcoming visitors, representing Mimosa House at events and supporting the organisation’s environmental reporting.

Applicants should have experience producing public exhibitions within a nonprofit organisation or substantial equivalent independent experience, including coordinating exhibition logistics and managing budgets. Mimosa House also seeks a commitment to longer-term work with community groups, strong organisational and communication skills, and experience with social media, newsletters and website management.
Experience with international art transport, public events, accounting software or the production of editions is desirable. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
The position is based at Mimosa House, 47 Theobalds Road, London WC1X 8SP. Occasional evening and weekend work is compensated with time off in lieu. Annual leave is 20 days plus eight statutory holidays.
