Programs Assistant at the Center for Curatorial Leadership

Location: New York City, United States
Contract: Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week; currently on site Monday to Thursday, 10 am–6 pm
Salary: USD $65,000–$75,000 per year

The Center for Curatorial Leadership (CCL) is seeking a Programs Assistant to help plan and deliver its professional development programmes for art museum curators. Working with the Programs Manager and a small team, the successful candidate will coordinate events, communicate with participants and speakers, and keep complex schedules running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of CCL’s annual programmes and events.
  • Maintain project plans, calendars, deadlines and programme materials.
  • Act as a point of contact for participants, alumni, faculty, speakers and vendors.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, catering and other event logistics.
  • Support application and selection processes.
  • Draft correspondence and prepare materials such as syllabi and speaker biographies.
  • Produce programme communications across the website, newsletters, social media and press releases.
  • Maintain participant and alumni records and assist with internal reporting.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. At least three years of experience supporting administration, programmes, projects or events is preferred.

The role calls for excellent organisation, writing and communication skills, care in working with participants and colleagues, and the ability to manage several activities at once. Experience with office, design and event platforms is useful.

Applicants must be within commuting distance of CCL’s New York office. Some programme periods require early mornings, evenings, weekends or travel.
