The Laundromat Project (The LP) seeks an organized, tech-savvy, creative team builder for the role of Programs Coordinator: Arts & Pedagogy. This individual will expertly support the Arts & Pedagogy programming team at LP’s new home in Bed-Stuy. Responsibilities encompass program coordination, open calls for Create Change and Create Change Institute programs, scheduling, template development, training facilitation, and occasional event attendance for Arts and Pedagogy programming.
Role and Responsibilities
Coordinating Programs and Open Calls
- Drafting program descriptions and facilitating registration for Fellowship and AIR programs.
- Supporting Create Change Residency & Fellowship, including onboarding and session coordination.
- Drafting run of shows, designing agendas, and coordinating with elected officials for public programming.
Administration and Support
- Administering Create Change Institute.
- Managing programming updates in Submittable application and cohort documentation.
- Providing technical support for virtual programming.
- Maintaining project management in Asana.
- Assisting with organizational administrative duties.
- Handling invoicing, honoraria, and contracts for facilitators, consultants, and artists.
Professional Qualifications
- Experience in artist support, community engagement programming, and curriculum development.
- Commitment to cultural/community organizing and belief in arts as advocacy tools.
- Skill in artist and community connectivity for generating new possibilities.
- Strong communication skills in various formats.
- Track record in budget development, grant reporting, and programmatic systems.
- Knowledge/interest in Black/POC communities in Bed-Stuy.
- Familiarity with NYC arts, national artist networks, and community-based arts.

Compensation and Benefits
