The ifa – Germany’s Institute for International Cultural Relations – is hiring a full-time Project Coordinator to oversee the production and realization of the German Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale 2026. The role is based in Stuttgart and runs until 31 March 2027, with travel and extended stays in Venice.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate implementation of the curatorial concept

Manage budget, timeline, logistics, and partner communication

Handle travel arrangements and guest management for opening week

Support funding applications and sponsorship processes

Oversee public procurement and documentation

Liaise with artists, political and cultural stakeholders

Maintain project reporting, documentation, and knowledge management
Candidate Profile

University degree in cultural management or similar

Several years of experience in coordinating major cultural projects

Familiarity with public funding, procurement regulations, and budgeting

Highly organized, resilient under pressure, and socially adept

Fluent in Italian and English

Experience working in or with public cultural institutions
