One of the UK’s foremost arts institutions, the Royal Academy of Arts is famous for its world-class exhibitions, which have recently featured the work of Anselm Kiefer, Richard Diebenkorn and Ai Weiwei. Our purpose is to be a clear, strong voice for art and artists. As we approach the 250th anniversary of our foundation, our public programme promotes the creation, study and enjoyment of art to a wide range of audiences through exhibitions, publications, education and debate.
About this position
Books from the Royal Academy’s imprint stand out for their rich content, exemplary editorial standards and handsome production values. We are searching for an exceptional individual to join our dedicated publishing department, to copy-edit and proofread exhibition catalogues and books on the visual arts.
About you
Do you have a passion for excellence, proficiency in at least one foreign language and several years’ experience in a comparable editorial role? You will have an enquiring mind, superlative organisational skills, impeccable spelling, grammar and punctuation and an eagle eye for detail.
You will have a calm, methodical approach, the ability to think clearly and to communicate effectively with artists, authors, curators and designers, as well as a keen interest in the vision of the Royal Academy of Arts.
