Since 2022, Haus der Kunst has been undergoing a transformation, rethinking the canon of art history and focusing on transdisciplinary approaches, transnational perspectives, and digitalization. The institution challenges traditional exhibition formats, producing immersive, interactive, and body-oriented projects on site. Its mission is to create an intergenerational space for exchange and community under the motto: “Haus der Kunst is where the future happens.”
The Production Team, part of the Program and Exhibitions Department, is seeking a Project Manager (d/m/f). The role involves:

Planning & Coordination of projects (LP 1–4), including artistic productions, co-productions, and live formats, managing schedules, resources, logistics, and external contractors.

Loan & Artwork Management – coordinating with artists, lenders, and partners; handling contracts, transport, insurance, installation, maintenance.

Exhibition Tours – planning, budgeting, technical documentation, and smooth handovers with partners.

Execution & Procurement (LP 5–8), contract negotiations, and budget oversight.

Close collaboration with department heads and other teams.
Requirements:

Degree in cultural management, architecture, stage design, or equivalent.

Several years’ experience in managing large-scale projects, including live formats.

Knowledge of loans, artistic quality standards, safety regulations, and German procurement law.

Excellent organizational and communication skills, fluency in German and English, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), ERP systems, and digital tools.
