Tate’s vision is to serve as artistically adventurous and culturally inclusive art museums for the UK and the world. We deliver this through activities in our four galleries across the UK (Tate Liverpool, Tate St Ives, Tate Britain and Tate Modern), our digital platforms and collaborations with our national and international partners. At the heart of Tate is our collection of art, which includes British art from the 16th century to the present day, and international modern art from 1900 to the present day.
Tate Britain is in the process of planning a complete rehang of its displays of the Collection, launching in May 2023. This is a major, additionally funded, strategic project for Tate Britain, set within a suite of other changes. The displays will emphasise both the most celebrated art and artists in British art history, highlight the work of artists previously marginalised, offer a more inclusive narration of British art and history in its international contexts, and relate art to society in ways that resonate for us today.
We are looking for a dynamic and highly effective project manager to coordinate this transformative project. You will be responsible for providing exemplary liaison and coordination across a range of teams and stakeholders at Tate as well as externally to ensure the project is delivered to deadline and budget and to the highest possible standards. You will have proven ability to advocate and influence. You will have a strategic vision combined with an eye for detail and robust planning skills, a thorough understanding of workflow and production timelines, be able to proactively anticipate deadlines and have extensive experience of motivating project teams.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract from April 2022 to June 2023.
Our jobs are like our galleries, open to all
