Project Manager

A new exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Exhibitions department in leading the successful end-to-end delivery of all aspects of major temporary exhibitions and some Museum-wide public-facing projects. You could be delivering the British Museum’s next ‘blockbuster’ exhibition.

As the Project Manager, you will work with a variety of colleagues across the Museum to deliver the projects successfully, whilst developing processes to ensure that they are of maximum efficiency.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, the successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience of managing public-facing projects within a multi-discipline team, together with experience of project management processes, for example budget monitoring, gateway reporting and risk management. You will have proven ability in delivering projects of the highest quality on schedule and within budget. Above all, you will have a passion for museum exhibitions and be keen to play a part in their success.

As an excellent team player and with a flexible attitude, you will possess strong communication skills. You will be confident in interacting with both external and internal stakeholders at all levels. You will also be able to persuade others, with tact and diplomacy.
