Public Art Project Manager – Arts Fort Worth, USA
Employment Type: Full-time, Manager level
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (full in-person for first 90 days)
Salary Range: $44,000–$50,000

Arts Fort Worth manages Fort Worth Public Art, a municipal percent-for-art program, and provides professional services for other clients commissioning artworks in public spaces. The Public Art Project Manager oversees all aspects of assigned public art projects, including planning, budgets, artist selection, fabrication, installation, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple public art projects from concept to completion
- Coordinate with city departments, artists, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Facilitate artist selection and city approval processes
- Oversee project budgets, contracts, schedules, and maintenance planning
- Plan and implement public events, community initiatives, and temporary installations
- Support Arts Fort Worth in advocacy, fund development, and organizational initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Arts Management, Art History, Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of full-time experience in museum, art services, or public art management
- Strong knowledge of public art, contemporary art issues, and national best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; diplomacy and sensitivity required
- Experience with budgets, contracts, architectural drawings, and project management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and photography skills a plus
- Valid Texas Driver’s license and personal vehicle required
