About Objectspace
Objectspace is Aotearoa’s leading public gallery dedicated to craft, design, and architecture, delivering over 60 events annually, including lectures, workshops, and symposia. The gallery also provides essential services to the craft/object sector, fostering engagement and education through its diverse programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Objectspace’s annual public programme and event schedules.
- Lead event management for exhibition openings, public programmes, and development events.
- Oversee venue hire bookings and partner event management.
- Foster audience engagement and development through innovative public programming, including renowned series such as the Ockham Lecture Series and Coffee & Croissants.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven event management skills with more than three years of relevant experience.
- Passionate about growing public engagement in the arts.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and commitment to bicultural and multicultural frameworks.
- Holds a tertiary qualification in a related field.
- Legally entitled to work in Aotearoa.
- Flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.
Additional Information
- This is a permanent full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
- Regular weekend and evening work will be necessary.
