The Wexner Center for the Arts at The Ohio State University is seeking a Public Programs Specialist to engage in arts learning with a focus on museum education practices for diverse audiences. This full-time role involves administering gallery education, K-12 programming, research, and building partnerships in arts and education. The Program Coordinator will assist with developing and evaluating resource materials, tours, and programming related to contemporary art and cross-cultural topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer gallery education and K-12 programming
  • Develop arts-based programs and partnerships
  • Assist in research, development, and evaluation of learning materials
  • Collaborate with public, university, and K-12 audiences
  • Work closely with the Curator of Teaching, Learning, and Interpretation

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in museum, arts, or cultural education and program administration
  • Degree in Art, Art Education, Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Commitment to inclusion, equity, and accessibility practices
  • Strong organizational, research, and communication skills
  • Experience in arts-integrated learning and public engagement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

This position requires occasional evenings and weekends and involves working both onsite and in the community.
