The position is part of the “Queer Outreach” project within the education and outreach department, focusing on LSBTIQ* empowerment, youth education, and collaborative cultural work with partner organisations across Berlin. The role supports the conceptual and organisational development of the programme, including educational formats, workshops, and cooperation with youth organisations in districts such as Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Spandau, and Tiergarten.
Main responsibilities
- Design and delivery of LSBTIQ* empowerment and educational programmes for young people
- Planning, booking, and administration of workshops and guided tours
- Collaboration with cultural and youth organisations
- Support in developing and updating youth protection concepts
- Coordination and administrative management of freelance staff (contracts, offers, invoices)
- Research and educational interpretation of exhibitions and archival content
- Writing educational materials, reports, funding applications, and communication texts
- Documentation, evaluation, and quality assurance of all activities
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have:
- University degree in cultural education, social work, pedagogy, gender studies, or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in participatory educational work with young people
- Strong knowledge of LSBTIQ*, feminist, and anti-racist discourses
- Experience with empowerment-based and inclusive educational methods
- Knowledge of museum, archive, or cultural mediation practices
- Experience in coordination and administration of educational programmes
- Fluent German (C2) and English (B2)
- Good IT skills (including Excel)
