The Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg is an internationally oriented institution located at the well-connected crossroads between Berlin, Braunschweig, and Hannover. Your Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monographic and thematic exhibitions in contemporary art (and Classical Modern).
- Conduct scholarly research and support the development of exhibition publications.
- Write academic texts and gain a foundational introduction to various areas of contemporary museum work, complementing your university education.
- Contribute to collection management and assist with collection exhibitions.
- Collaborate across departments with other museum areas to support integrated projects.
What We Expect from You
- A completed degree in art history, art studies, or a related humanities field.
- In-depth knowledge of 20th- and 21st-century art.
- Initial practical experience in museums, galleries, or exhibition contexts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent proficiency in English and, if applicable, additional foreign languages.
- Competence in using computer systems (e.g., MS Office, DTP software); familiarity with databases (preferably MuseumPlus) is an asset.
- An independent, sustainable work approach combined with excellent organizational skills.
- A high level of commitment, teamwork, and a hands-on mentality.
- Awareness of sustainable practices and procedures.
