Location: Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Overview
The CCA Artist Residencies, in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, invites applications for its Artist Residencies program. The residency offers artists, curators, and researchers a unique opportunity to work on their projects while engaging with local communities and public events in Uzbekistan.
Available Residencies
For Artists
- Location: Namuna
- Participants: 4 artists per residency
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Requirements: Application form, portfolio, and a project proposal
- Benefits:
- Travel, visa, and accommodation expenses covered
- Scholarship and material support (within agreed limits)
- Participation in public events (speeches, discussions, workshops)
- Final exhibition in the Artist Residencies space
For Curators/Researchers
- Location: Khast Imom
- Participants: 1 curator/researcher per residency
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Requirements: CV, motivation letter outlining the project goals (curatorial project, academic publication, or research-based work)
- Benefits:
- Travel, visa, and accommodation expenses covered
- Scholarship and material support (within agreed limits)
- Participation in public events (speeches, discussions, workshops)
- Showcase of the project at the end of the residency
Application Procedure
Applications must be submitted digitally. The required documents include:
- A CV or portfolio in PDF format (2 MB max), featuring project documentation, images, links to video/audio files, reviews, and texts.
- A project proposal sketch in PDF format (1 MB max), including a concept description, execution technique, estimated timeline, and amount of work.
- For files exceeding 2 MB, provide a Google Drive link in the application form.
- The Application Form, completed and submitted with the CV and project proposal.
Note: Only successful applicants will be notified. Feedback will not be provided to unsuccessful candidates.
