Schloss Wiepersdorf, a historic manor in Brandenburg, Germany, offers fully funded residencies to artists, writers, and scholars. The program fosters interdisciplinary work rooted in Romanticism, German division history, and contemporary arts.
Eligibility
Open to:
- Artists & Writers in:
- Literature (poetry, prose, drama, translation)
- Fine Arts (painting, sculpture, media, photography)
- Composition (sound design, conducting)
- Academia (Romanticism studies or German division history)
- Requirements:
- Completed artistic/academic training or significant professional experience.
- Proficiency in German or English (basic German helpful).
- Work samples demonstrating project relevance.
Not Eligible:
- Students (except PhD/postdoc/Meisterschüler).
- Previous fellows (last 2 years) or jury members.
Fellowship Details
- Stipend: €1,200/month + €480 material grant (prorated if shortened).
- Accommodation: Private room in the manor (barrier-free options available).
- Studio Access: Provided for visual artists.
- Collaborative Option: Apply with 1–2 partners (extra room provided).
- Visa Support: Costs covered for non-EU fellows.
Selection Criteria
- Quality of prior work and proposed project.
- Relevance to Romanticism, German history, or contemporary practice.
