About the Athens Residency
The Athens Residency is the flagship program of ARCAthens.
Founded in 2017, ARCAthens is a not-for-profit organization offering two fully funded Athens Residency Fellowships (Visual Art and Curatorial). These opportunities enable artists, curators, and scholars to live and work in Athens, Greece, engaging directly with the city’s ongoing cultural renaissance. The program includes promotional support, optional networking opportunities, studio and collection visits, tailored institutional tours, and participation in community events.
Eligibility
ARCAthens welcomes applicants from all countries and nationalities, representing diverse creative practices.
The Athens Residency program is open to applicants not residing in Greece.
Expectations
The residency is designed to support Fellows and carries minimal obligations:
-
Participation in a bespoke seminar with students at the Athens School of Fine Arts
-
Participation in a public engagement event
