REFLEKT is a Southeast Asia-wide residency program by the Goethe-Institut, hosted in 2025 by SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin. It supports experienced artists, curators, researchers, and cultural professionals working at the intersection of community, education, public engagement, and arts organization. REFLEKT seeks to foster critical collaboration, research, and cross-cultural exchange, with a focus on long-term artistic engagement and innovative curatorial approaches.
The 2025 residency invites participants to engage with themes including Afro-Pacific affinities, cultural management, accessibility under precarious conditions, and exhibition-making as social development. Residents will take part in SAVVY’s current explorations of remittance culture, diasporic communities, and counter-narratives to colonial legacies such as the Berlin Conference.
