Art Explora Foundation and Cité internationale des arts Residency Programme 2025

The Art Explora foundation, in partnership with the Cité internationale des arts, offers residencies in Paris for artists and researchers from around the world. Each year, approximately 20 residents are welcomed to develop projects addressing contemporary issues such as new technologies, the relationship between art and science, environmental concerns, and socio-political topics. The residency provides a unique opportunity for creative work in connection with the French artistic and professional scene.
Program Structure
There are two main residency programmes:
- SOLO Programme: A 6-month residency for individual artists (2 sessions per year)
- Artists COLLECTIVE Programme: A 3-month residency for artist collectives (4 sessions per year)
These programs are open to artists and researchers of all nationalities and disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, art criticism, and curating. There are no age restrictions, but applicants must have at least five years of professional experience.
Residency Benefits
- A 3 or 6-month residency in a 50m² studio apartment at the Cité internationale des arts – Montmartre site
- Monthly stipend of 1,000 EUR
- Production grant of up to 3,000 EUR
- Round-trip transportation to Paris
