Seeking a Head of Public Programmes
Nottingham Contemporary, one of the UK’s leading centres for contemporary art, is seeking a new Head of Public Programmes. The postholder will lead on the development of its highly acclaimed cross-disciplinary programme of discursive events (lectures, symposia, study groups, film screenings, exhibition talks, etc.), taking its cue from Nottingham Contemporary’s ambitious artistic programme.
He or she will be responsible for developing Nottingham Contemporary’s research culture more generally and for bringing it to life for wide-ranging adult audiences, particularly students, academics and the artistic community.
This is an unusual and exciting opportunity for someone who is engaged with the intellectual breadth and relevance of art today and who would be interested in working at the interface of academia and a major centre of contemporary art.

The Head of Public Programmes will contribute to developing and supervising additionally funded longer-term collaborative projects with the Universities, and he or she will be our main contact with the Universities.
The postholder will have strong self-initiative, will be a natural collaborator, and have excellent relationship management skills. He or she will be a confident speaker, and have excellent communication skills in person and in writing.
