Situated within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Royal Museums Greenwich (RMG) is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen’s House. We are looking for someone to lead on the delivery of capital projects which will include enhancements to permanent galleries, displays and refurbishments across our unique sites. You will be overseeing the work of a Displays and Gallery Maintenance Co-ordinator and potentially an Exhibition Project Managers to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standards of quality.
You will need to demonstrate experience of managing substantial, high-quality exhibition or refurbishment projects within a museum, gallery, heritage or arts context, supervising design processes with internal and external teams, and working with budgets ranging between £10,000 and £1m.
Key elements of your role will include managing and monitoring project costs throughout the lifespan of each project, procuring and liaising with consultants and contractors, and collaborating with key stakeholders from across the Museum to ensure necessary input into the design and delivery of projects.
Core hours of work will be 36 per week, 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with the line manager.
