The position
This newly created role has primary oversight of the NGA’s collection of ceramic and design works of art and is based within the Australian Art Department.
To be effective in this role you will have a broad knowledge of the history of decorative arts as well as an in depth understanding of Australian ceramics and design history. Relevant tertiary qualifications and art museum experience with a focus on the decorative arts, will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of the activities related to the ceramic and design works and will have well developed project management skills.
You will also enjoy collaborating and engaging with colleagues, as well as building relationships with key stakeholder across the NGA and the wider arts community.
This is a non-ongoing position, which is offered on a 3-year term.
