MOMENTA Biennale – Montréal, Canada

MOMENTA Biennale is looking for a Special Events Coordinator for its 2025 edition. The selected candidate will plan and coordinate promotional events, manage artist and guest accommodations, support international professional meetings, and assist in sponsorship acquisition.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate special events related to the biennale’s exhibitions (e.g., openings, launches, vernissages).
- Organize artist and guest visits, including logistics (travel, accommodation, activities).
- Assist in the development of activities for international professional meetings.
- Recruit and manage volunteers for the opening night.
- Write post-event reports.
Qualifications:
- Degree in art, cultural animation, project management, or a related field.
- Experience in organizing events within the cultural sector.
- Excellent organizational skills and autonomy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in French and English.
Conditions:
- Full-time position from April 7 to November 5, 2025.
- Salary: $19.50 – $21.70/hour.
- The work will be a mix of telecommuting (2 days/week) and in-office (3 days/week).
- Candidates must be eligible for the “Experience de travail” wage subsidy program or other Emploi Québec financial aid programs.
