We are looking for a Cataloging Specialist to join our department dedicated to the cataloging and study of antiques and works of art, with a focus on periods spanning from the 15th to the 19th century. This position requires a deep knowledge of art history, as well as specific skills in cataloging paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts.
Responsibilities:
- Catalog and document antiques and works of art in detail, ensuring the accuracy and precision of the recorded information.
- Evaluate and appraise works of art, providing complete and accurate descriptions.
- Collaborate with the team on research projects and exhibitions, contributing specialized knowledge in cataloging.
- Manage the inventory database, keeping records up-to-date and organized.
- Participate in the planning and execution of promotion and dissemination strategies through social media and other digital platforms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Conservation, or a related field.
- Previous experience in cataloging artworks, especially in Paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts.
- Ability to assess and describe works of art accurately.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for image editing tasks.
- Familiarity with the use of social media to promote cultural activities and artworks.
