Hearst Summer Internship

The Hearst Summer Internship is a full-time, paid, nine-week program designed primarily for undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience within a leading contemporary art museum. The internship combines structured training, departmental work experience, professional development opportunities, and exposure to museum professionals through a weekly speaker series.
The 2026 program will run from June 1 to July 31, 2026, with interns working onsite at least three days per week. Participants must be available Monday through Friday, seven hours per day, for the full duration of the program.

Internship Format
- Full-time, nine-week paid internship

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to rising and graduating seniors who have completed at least three years of academic coursework before the start of the internship
- Some positions may require graduate-level training and/or professional experience (as specified by department)
- Former Whitney interns are not eligible to apply
