About the Program
The Summer Internship Program at FAMSF provides a unique, paid opportunity for students, recent graduates, and emerging professionals to gain valuable experience in one of San Francisco’s largest public arts institutions. Interns are matched with one of eight museum departments, working on specific projects while receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED with at least two years of post-secondary coursework.
- Residency: Preference given to those living or studying in the San Francisco Bay Area’s nine counties.
- Experience: No prior museum experience required; demonstrated interest in arts and equity is a plus.
- Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
