Overview
The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London is currently recruiting for a Talks & Engagement Producer. This pivotal role supports the strategic evolution of our Learning & Engagement program. The focus is on creating cultural and accessible opportunities for both new and existing audiences. This involves building local, long-term relationships and implementing meaningful interactions with young people. Collaboration with artists, partners, and the program team is crucial to creating a significant impact.
Role Definition
This newly created position aims to develop and launch initiatives that connect the artistic program with various communities. An audience-centered approach is essential to fulfill this role effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Implement the vision and mission of ICA by increasing outreach and promoting inclusivity.
- Initiate innovative collaborative models that utilize ICA’s assets to engage contemporary society.
Programme Delivery
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning and Engagement to manage ICA’s programs, including youth projects, talks, book launches, and workshops.
- Create programs that respond to artistic content and audience needs.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with educational and third-sector organizations.
- Ensure program accessibility in terms of content, language, and reach.
- Manage freelance contracts and collaborations in line with organizational policies.
- Launch new online content to enhance program visibility and audience engagement.
Finance Management
- Oversee the project budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Handle budget tracking and monthly reconciliations in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
Comms & Marketing
- Maintain ICA’s profile and manage communication campaigns.
- Coordinate with the Communications Team for strategic marketing.
- Oversee the creation of promotional materials in accordance with ICA standards.
General Administration
- Manage day-to-day administration efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and standards.
- Foster a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach in all activities.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cultural sector production.
- Proven track record in delivering impactful programs.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Experience in budget management and IT proficiency.
