The Design Museum has developed a reputable and high quality touring programme, bringing thought provoking and inspiring design exhibitions to a global audience for more than ten years.

The Touring and Exhibitions Coordinator will administer the tour of Design Museum exhibitions to national and international museum and gallery venues as well as help coordinate exhibitions at the museum. This will include planning the tour schedule, adapting an exhibition ready for tour, handling negotiation with tour venues and organising packing, transport and insurance for outgoing and incoming exhibits.  The post holder will also provide general support to the Touring Manager in researching venues and promoting new exhibitions.

The person

Working closely with the museum’s Touring Manager and Exhibition Project Managers, the post holder will be an important point of contact for touring partners, lenders, and other stakeholders involved in the tour of Design Museum exhibitions. The role requires a highly organised and meticulous person with a problem-solving attitude. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to use their initiative and work autonomously. The role will suit an individual with previous exhibition project coordination experience.
