Visitor Experience Assistant – Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai

Institution: Jameel Arts Centre
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Reports to: Visitor Experience Coordinator
Type: Full-time, on-site in Dubai
Schedule: Five days per week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays (with time off in lieu)

Jameel Arts Centre is seeking a friendly, organised, and culturally engaged Visitor Experience Assistant to join its Audiences department. The role is ideal for bilingual candidates with a strong connection to the UAE, who are passionate about art, culture, and community engagement. UAE Nationals and long-term residents are particularly encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring an exceptional and memorable experience. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, managing visitor registrations, assisting with events, coordinating volunteers, and maintaining accurate visitor data. The role also involves supporting outreach campaigns, handling inquiries, and ensuring accessibility across exhibitions and public programmes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, tourism, or arts and culture
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with great attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools such as Mailchimp and Hunter.io
  • Familiarity with Typeform and experience in visitor or VIP relationship management

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and guide visitors, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience
  • Support event registration, volunteer coordination, and incident reporting
  • Maintain visitor counts and assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Ensure accessibility, manage exhibition openings/closings, and handle signage and wayfinding
  • Assist in outreach campaigns and communication with visitors
  • Collect and analyse visitor feedback for continuous improvement
