Writer-in-Residence
Program Overview
In partnership with Ocula, Salzburger Kunstverein announces its first Writer-in-Residence program. The initiative seeks to support artistic research and enhance discourse in Salzburg’s art community.
Residency Offerings
During this month-long residency, writers will:
- Work on their research and writing projects.
- Produce two texts for Salzburger Kunstverein’s program, to be compensated and published by Ocula.
Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- A studio apartment for accommodation.
- A scholarship of EUR 900.
- A bicycle for local transportation.
- Health insurance coverage.
- Opportunities for mentorship and professional networking.
Application Guidelines
- Email Submissions: Send to info@salzburger-kunstverein.at with ‘Writer-in-Residence’ as the subject.
- Deadline: January 4, 2024.
Submission Requirements
- A summary of educational and professional background.
- Three writing samples from the past two years, compiled in a single PDF or Word document.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- State availability for any full month from March to August 2024.
Selection Process
- A jury, including Ocula’s Anna Dickie, Mirela Baciak of Salzburger Kunstverein, and writer Kate Sutton, will review submissions.
- Only those selected will be contacted.
