Whitechapel Gallery is looking for a Curator with a specialist knowledge of 20th and 21st century art. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for contemporary art and culture to work on a wide spectrum of projects, and to collaborate with artists and colleagues to bring an exciting programme of projects to life. The Curator will develop, manage and deliver solo and thematic exhibitions, commissions, collection displays and related publications, which expand art historical narratives and advance under-represented perspectives. The post holder will be an exemplary collaborator and work closely with diverse audiences, supporters and other stakeholders.
Conditions of Work
- Contract: Permanent, Full Time
- Hours of work: 9:30am – 5:45pm, Monday to Friday, plus some occasional weekend and evening work, which will be compensated by time off in lieu.
- Salary: £32,000–33,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Probation period: 6 months
- The period of notice is 3 month in writing on either side
