The School of Social Sciences and Humanities are seeking to appoint a Research Associate for the project entitled ‘Feminist Art Making Histories’. The project mission is to record, curate and archive the oral histories and associated ephemera of feminist artists in Ireland and the UK from 1970 to the present day. FAMH will create an archive for all, allowing us to understand how these shared, past histories and legacies shape our thinking, identity and environment in the present, and stimulating reflection upon our shared future.
This AHRC and IRC funded project is led by Professor Hilary Robinson at Loughborough University and Dr Tina Kinsella (IADT, Dún Laoghaire), with Dr Amy Tobin (University of Cambridge) and Dr Elspeth Mitchelle (University of Leeds) as Co-Is. In addition to this post, there will be a further Research Associate appointed at IADT.
The successful candidate will support the designing of the data collection processes and carry out day to day implementation of the data management and project management, undertaking independent research in support of the project as appropriate. They should have knowledge and experience of feminist art history/theory and/or digital humanities, along with data management expertise.
