The V&A Research Institute (VARI), National Art Library (NAL) and Archives form one of the V&A’s five Collections departments. VARI is responsible for facilitating and promoting research across all aspects of the Museum’s collections and activities: we direct the Museum’s research strategy, manage a portfolio of externally-funded research projects, host and support R&D for exhibitions, publications and other public outputs, and promote research produced across the Museum.
The post holder will coordinate and ensure the smooth functioning of the V&A / RCA History of Design Postgraduate Programme (MA and PhD) on a day-to-day basis. This is a busy role with a wide range of tasks that will allow the post holder to play a key role in creating and maintaining an environment that is welcoming and conducive to teaching, learning and research while acting as a first point of contact for the History of Design team and students, both internally and externally.
The post holder will work closely with the Head of History of Design and the Postgraduate Programme team at the V&A, and with their counterparts at the RCA.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Sunday 27 February 2022 at 23:59. Interviews will be held week commencing 7 March 2022.
