The position of Architecture Programme Manager will be responsible for devising and delivering the RA Architecture public event Programme.
The Architecture Programme is a series of lively public and invitation-only events that reflects the RA’s commitment to the pursuit of rigour and excellence in ideas about art and architecture. Through the programme we seek to respond to topical issues within architecture, as well as develop research that will deepen our understanding of the subject.
The postholder is expected to have good contacts across the architecture sector, and to be prepared to engage fully with current debates, exhibitions and practice. The role requires attendance at evening events at the RA and other venues, as well as occasional weekends.
Reporting to the Head of Architecture and Drue Heinz Curator, you will be responsible for the creation, management and delivery of the events programme and publications. Following an agreed strategy, this entails devising, then implementing the programmes including generating content, managing publicity and communications, budgets, stakeholder management, and overseeing the delivery, to the highest professional standard. You will make a vital contribution to the success of the RA Architecture Programme and the effective operation of the Architecture Department, working collaboratively with teams across the RA.
