Sheffield DocFest is the UK’s leading documentary festival and one of the world’s most
influential markets for documentary projects. We champion and present the breadth of
documentary form – film, television, immersive and art – in the vibrant city of Sheffield

Sheffield DocFest is run by International Documentary Festival Sheffield, an
independent registered charity (no.1184849), whose purpose is to advance the art of
film, education and training in documentary filmmaking. Our core values as a charity

We’re looking for an Alternate Realities Programme Assistant to join our team and support in the production and delivery of our Alternate Realities Programme – which exhibits and showcases innovative non-fiction and immersive documentary in all forms.
Planning:
● Work closely with the Alternate Realities Programme team to produce and deliver an
exceptional in-person exhibition, and off-site events during the festival in June
● As directed by the Alternate Realities Programme Coordinator update the Art Council
Funding documents (business plans and evaluations) to ensure the festival can report
on festival activity in-line with KPI’s set
● Work with the Alternate Realities Programme Coordinator and Consultant on the
delivery and production of the projects in the exhibition
● Attend planning meetings with venue partners
● Set up google trackers for tracking projects/guests/budgets as requested by the
Coordinator and consultant
● Assist in research and delivering information for production – getting tech quotes,
project/artwork dimensions & exhibition display dimensions (vinyl wall text,
installations etc..)
● Gain knowledge on the FIONA database system.
