Introduction
Zemin Art Space invites artists, curators, creators, and visionaries to explore themes focused on immersive experiences, climate change, global boiling, transformative activism, Berlin’s urban texture, reforestation, decolonisation, community building projects, solidarity, gender, and other topics that require more urgency and visibility for the future.
Call for Submissions
We welcome diverse artistic mediums, including 3D VR reality, installations, interactive experiences, sound art, light installations, video projections, performances, and more. Our commitment to art goes beyond gallery walls, as we actively participate in local events and collaborate with neighborhood initiatives to promote inclusivity and mutual understanding.
If you are an artist/curator/collective with a vision to make an impact through your art, we invite you to submit your work to Zemin Art Space.
Eligibility
Zemin Berlin’s open call is targeting all emerging/established curators, artists, and collectives living/working in Berlin. All participants must be older than 18 years old.
Guidelines
- Proposals must be conceptually concrete and understandable.
- In case you are submitting a curatorial project, your proposal must include a maximum of 15 artists.
- Project proposals should have not been realized before and have no additional financial support.
- Zemin Berlin strongly encourages inclusive and diverse project proposals that provide a creative and safe space for gender minorities, BIPoC, immigrant, disabled, and marginalized groups.
- Proposals must be submitted in English or German.
- All applications submitted will be considered final and treated as such.
- Zemin Art Space & Gallery seeks non-commercial projects and does not earn profits from the sale of the artworks.

Submission
- Title and a brief description of your project – Max. 1000 characters.
- Detailed exhibition proposal and Curatorial text – Up to 2 A4 Pages.
- Project sketches. Max. 1 A4 Page (Optional)
- Artist/Curator/Creative Collective’s CV (Including your contact information.)
- Artist/Curator/Creative Collective’s Statement and/or Vision
- Your Portfolio up to 10 projects. (Optional)
If you are a Curator submitting your exhibition project please add:
- List of participating artists and their short bios. (Including: Artist name, artwork title, year, duration – Any additional description.)
All the documents must be sent as one PDF document. Filenames formatted as: YOURNAME_YOURPROJECT

Deadline
27 August 2023. All the applications will be considered immediately after the submission. That means, early applications might raise your chance to be selected. All applicants will be notified of results by 31 August 2023.
