The Collab 4 HY Sustain CCI project is launching an open call to support 15 EU CCI organizations. The goal of this initiative is to promote innovation and foster processes or products in the field of audience engagement and sustainability. The selected candidates will be accompanied in a 16-month journey.
Priorities
The call offers € 3000 to selected CCIs that want to gain capacity or design products or processes related to two priorities:
Audiences and Hybrid Approaches
- Innovation in the value chain of artistic and cultural offers allowing (in situ + digital) audience engagement and participation
- Hybrid arts and cultural marketing strengthening culture participatory processes
- Improved management of audience monitoring and impact assessment using data
- Inclusive and gender equality principles in structuring co-creation processes, including migrant communities
- Green agenda motivating audience participation
Sustainability in Processes of Collaboration
- Cross-sectoral practices connecting arts/culture + other industry sectors (e.g. bioindustry/energy/transport)
- Cross-sectoral practices connecting arts/culture + social innovation (post-industrial communities, post-agrarian communities, new value chain principles, engaging volunteers, public foundations, and agencies not least those created for large scale activities such as the European Capitals of Culture)
- Cross-sectoral practices connecting arts/culture + new digital industries (e.g., serious games industry, the new digital crafts industry)

The call is divided into two phases:
Phase I: Proposal Submission
Call for Candidates
Submission of proposal from any CCI organization that meets eligibility criteria.
Eligible Organizations
Organizations must be working in the EU cultural and creative sectors: contemporary arts/performances, entertainment or mixed audience offers; post-agricultural or post-urban cultural activities merging culture and inclusion priorities, cultural heritage, etc. They can be cultural institutions, nonprofit organizations, startups, social enterprises, academic institutions, community-based organizations, and any other entities engaged in the intersection of culture, science, and technology.
They must be active in one of the priorities of the project and ready to intake innovation. Priorities will be given to activities based in partnering countries – Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, and Denmark – or cross-border initiatives that have partners in one of the countries mentioned above.

Phase II: Collaboration and Support
Mentors’ Match
Each CCIs selected will be matched with one of the 15 mentors/experts that joined the project. Before starting, you will have the chance to meet them, get to know each other and design the mentorship programmes that suit your needs the best.
What Do We Offer?
- Incubation process made of matching with an expert to mentor the project that will last 16 months, 1 preparatory session and 4 knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Micro-grant (3.000 euro), to undertake an incubation-based prototyping effort leading to a demonstration or improved result for future implementation
- Visibility and showcase opportunities in hybrid events
- SEE regional network and EU collaboration opportunities
Timeline
- July 3rd, 2023: Call for submissions opens.
- September 30th, 2023, at 5 PM CET: Application deadline.
- October 2023: Evaluation process ends.
- December 2023: Incubation activities start.
