Job Summary
The Museum Partnership Officer, reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement, plays a pivotal role in strategizing global council advancement, corporate liaisons, stakeholder engagement, and membership portfolio growth. By fostering partnerships and advocating revenue generation, the officer contributes to the organization’s mission. This mid-management position focuses on impactful initiatives and decision-making collaboration.
Responsibilities
1. Museum Partnerships Advancement:
- Collaborate with the Institutional Advancement Director to devise strategies for Global Council, Corporate, and Stakeholder engagements.
- Prepare annual programs for Global Council members.
- Enrich membership portfolio and engagement strategies.
- Execute art trip programs and cultivate active Global Council participation.
- Seek diverse modes of museum support through global networks.
- Cultivate relationships with government officials, business leaders, and civil society organizations.
- Strategize advocacy initiatives to influence global policy discussions.
2. Communications and Reporting:
- Create high-quality briefings, reports, and presentations.
- Develop collateral, such as websites, member cards, and event invitations.
- Provide activity updates to the Zeitz MOCAA Communications Manager.
- Present progress updates to Executive Director and Trustees.
3. General Management:
- Represent the organization at international events.
- Coordinate annual board meetings and attend meetings with prospects.
- Implement art trip programs and activate board member networks.
- Monitor renewals and manage a budget.
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate professional growth.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business Management, Museum or Arts Studies, International Relations, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cultural contexts, global affairs, stakeholder engagement, or related areas.
- Proficiency in navigating international museum cultural groups.
- Proven track record advising senior executives or international organizations.
