Introduction
Join QUAD/FORMAT International Photography Festival and partners Déda in the exciting role of Community Engagement Producer for the project “Dancing Through Time: From Pop to Punk in the City of Derby,” funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Project Overview
The “Dancing Through Time” project explores the heritage of dance, music, and club scenes in Derby, spanning from the early 1960s to the late 1970s punk era, a period of significant socio-economic change in Britain.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the Project Coordinator and QUAD/FORMAT and Déda teams, you will play a pivotal role in:
- Volunteer Management: Overseeing volunteer coordination.
- Heritage Gathering: Collecting photographs, oral histories, artefacts, and ephemera.
- Event Organization: Planning sharing day activities and community engagement events.
- Archive Management: Updating heritage items for a bespoke archive website, including liaising with website developers.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in heritage-focused projects, particularly those involving community engagement.
