ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Position: Senior Producer
- Location: Swinegate Court East, Swinegate, York, YO1 8AJ & remote
- Salary: £40,000 pro rata
- Contract: Fixed term, PAYE employee contract
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: April 2026
- Workdays: 4 days per week (0.8), flexible working considered
- Note: Job share and part-time working (at least 3 days per week [0.6]) options available
- Occasional: Weekend work and national/international travel
- Office-based: 1-2 days per week; travel expenses outside salary
- Remote Work: Equipment provided
CONTEXT
Mediale is an international media arts organization in North Yorkshire, collaborating with innovative artists to create art focused on human connection, empathy, and experience. We work with diverse artists, partners, and communities to support emerging digital artists and maintain high standards in commissioning, curation, production, and delivery.
MAIN PURPOSE
As the Senior Producer, you’ll lead major projects, manage teams, and develop/deliver projects for Mediale with national and international partners. This role demands exceptional project management, relationship management, and a creative approach to project delivery.
EXPERIENCE & CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing production budgets
- Developing relationships with key artists
- Managing subcontractors, artists, and freelancers’ payments
- Negotiating artists’ fees and contracts
- Providing regular updates to superiors
